Moving From Uncertainty to Awareness and Growth

It’s that time of the year; and what a year we continue to experience! How do we move from uncertainty to awareness and growth?

In today’s blog, we explore yet another interesting aspect of our new normal times. More importantly, it’s a very exciting time of the year. If you’re like most business leaders, entrepreneurs and individuals, then you’ve probably started bringing the year to a close.

You may be celebrating the successes, acknowledging the learnings and commiserations and deciding on what needs to improve in the coming year.

For most people, it’s a very strategic time of the year.

Moving From Uncertainty to Awareness and Growth

We’re in the process of not only bringing the year to a successful close, but also starting to bring into vision, what we would like the coming year to be like. It is a really good time, on all grounds.

Certainly, we want to create more awareness and growth opportunities as we approach 2021 and beyond.

Let’s explore this in three parts, shall we?

Part 1 – Celebrate, Commiserate and Learn

Part 1 explores how we celebrate, commiserate and learn. Take a look at anything you wanted to do, that you’ve been able to do. Stop, take a pause, celebrate. It’s not just the big ones either. The small ones really do matter too!

Then commiserate by simply bringing to your awareness everything that you were not able to achieve this year; in spite of your intentions and efforts. Acknowledge this.

Then ask: Are these still relevant to be achieved? If so, can they be moved into next year?

Our third step here is to map out or recall our learnings for the year. What can we do to build on the successes that we achieved this year? What do we absolutely want to avoid repeating next year?

Part 2 – Creating a Newer Vision for Awareness and Growth

Part 2 takes us closer to the coming year. We start to envision or visualise how we would ideally want to experience the coming year. We can look at this from all angles; business, career, personal, relationships, financial etc.

A key advise here is to challenge our proven assumptions. The fact that something used to be our norm or our reality does not mean we cannot change it. This year is our perfect example and proof of that.

We can enable a new experience or result in the next year and feel confident that we can create it; from a blank slate.

If you happen to be a business leader or entrepreneur, you may want to explore this from a service/product, brand, people, culture, clients and stakeholders perspective.

Let’s embrace unknown territories. You can book a business/personal growth strategy review call.

When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change – paraphrasing Wayne Dyer.

Part 3 – Coming Year and Beyond

For what it’s worth, make your vision for the coming year bigger than you can ever imagine. That is how true growth is achieved, both at business or personal level.

It is crucial to generate great excitement this time of the year to help propel us to a great start in the coming year! I call this horsepower! Creating a greater force behind your vision for success next year goes a long way towards helping you achieve even greater results; and in a shorter space of time.

Actionable Advise

Remember to visualise and set an intention to break your perceived growth barriers. Finally, take action.
